ASTM D4539 Low Temperature Flow Test (LTFT) is generally recognized as a better predictor of diesel fuel filter plugging temperature than the more commonly used ASTM D6371 Cold Filter Plugging Point (CFPP). Please review ASTM D975-08a Appendix X5.1.3 for more Historical Background. Choose from a variety of automated and manual units that Lawler manufactures.

Refrigeration is provided by two hermetically sealed compressors in a cascade configuration using ozone friendly refrigerants. Temperature control is provided by a programmable digital temperature controller.

The insulated air baths have a top opening hood for easy access and minimum of temperature upset when removing samples. The test beakers are conveniently held in a support rack within the cold chamber for most uniform sample cooling. The cabinets have casters for mobility.

Several models are available. They are:

PROGRAMMABLE COLD LIQUID BATH

Model 265-12L
is a 12 sample capacity mechanically refrigerated liquid bath, operating between +15 to -55°C, recommended for greater temperature stability versus air chambers. It is a mechanically agitated floor model liquid bath. The ramping controller displaying both set point and actual temperature, maintaining the bath temperature within ±0.1°C of set point.

Model 265-4L
is a smaller bench model with 4 sample capacity.

PROGRAMMABLE COLD AIR BATHS

Model 265-10A is a 10 sample capacity mechanically refrigerated air bath capable of operating form +15°C to -55°C, recommended for eliminating the inconvenient and flammable alcohol bath medium of liquid baths. The digital programmable controller, displaying both set point and actual temperature, maintains the bath temperature within ±0.1°Cof set point. The air chamber temperature uniformity is maintained by forced air blower and is a floor model.

Model 265-22A is a larger version of the Model 265-10A holding up to 22 samples.
