The HT series Oxidation Baths meets the  requirements of ASTM D943, D2893*, D4310, D6158, AOCS12-57* test methods (*  modified version for these methods is available).

Each test position’s sleeve is individually heated and controlled with temperature stability of ±0.1º C. A digital display controller is dedicated for each position and is independent of the others. The set point between any neighboring tube may differ by as much as ±40º C, thus allowing tests at varying temperatures in the same apparatus. Each position’s temperature may be independently adjusted in 0.1º C increments. Temperature control parameters may be individually adjusted for optimizing the temperature stability of each position. The operating temperature range is from +50º C up to +300º C.

Each test position has one float-in-tube flowmeter positioned in front. The oxygen flow rate is maintained at 3 ± 0.1 L/hr with a micro precision valve. An oxygen pressure regulator is provided.

Temperature control is provided by a digital display PID controller providing stability of ± 0.2º C or better. In the event of primary controller failure each heated tube is individually protected against temperature runaway. Useful temperature range is from +40 to 240'C.

Water flow to each condenser is controlled by a valve mounted on the back panel. This is available only if the condenser water flows directly to a waste drain. If a recirculating chiller is to be used, only one flow valve is provided for each group of 12 condensers which must be arranged in series.

As an option, each position may have either a glass tube flowmeter or a mass flow controller precisely inputting the air or oxygen into the test specimen. The individual mass flow controllers are adjustable via the remote PC or the Integral Touch Screen interface. A supervisory control and data acquisition,(SCADA), package is also available from either a remote PC or an Integral Touch Screen interface.

Description
30
30 Test positions arranged in two back to back rows of 15 each
30-L
30 test positions arranged in a straight line
60
60 Test positions arranged in tow back to back rows of 30 each
S
Any number of test positions specified by the user
PC-30
Windows based software records the maximum and minimum temperature of each test position, oxigen suplly pressure, and the total oxygen flow rate for 3 banks of flow meters, with each bank with 10 flow meters. An alram is triggered alerting the operator when any of the three parameters decrease or increase above a preset limit. The needed electronics to monitor these parameters are included (eletronic mass flow meter, RTD probe, pressure sensor). The PC is no included.
PC-60
Same as option PC-30, above, but monitoring total oxygen flow rate for 5 banks of flow meters, with each back with 12 flow meters.
MF
Oxygen mass flow controller for each test position provided precise 3 liters per hour of oxygen flow independant of oxygen pressure and temperature, or ambient conditions. Float-in-tube flowmeters are very sensitive to gas pressure and temperature. The mass flow controllers may be monitored as part of option PC-30 or PC-60m, above.
CH
Recirculating chiller for the condenseer water eliminates water water. it is particularly suitable for hot environments when cool water is not available. The chiller can be only used when the condenser water is connected in series with the other condensers.
CH-3
Same as option CH, but the chiller has sufficient colling capacity to cool condenser water for all 30 positions and is provided with 3 individual recirculating pumps. Each pump recirculates the chilled water to a group of 10 condensers. The chiller can only be used when a back of 10 condesers are connnected in a series with the other condensers.
CH-5
Same as option CH-3, above, but with pumps and the capacity to cool 5 groups of 12 condensers in each group arranged in a series.
ST
Rackfor supporting 12 oxidation test tubes.
